I have played littlehill for almost thirty years now and it`s still a great course . Yes the locals don`t appreciate the gem that they have but thats a social thing . As for playing golf it`s a fair test of your ability and extremely enjoyable .

I used to hunt for golf balls when i was wee, and sell them, lol, i was there from the age of 5,Used to live in Acredyke rd, it was safe back then to wander on your own, lol, Right up to when i left school, also played there and was told i could go pro, but didnt have the time or money for it, Hav'nt been there for a few long years, might have to pop up there soon :),

The only good thing about this course is that its cheap and near where i live other wise i would say its the worst course i have played. When it rains the course is flooded all the time, the course is not kept in good condition, and it backs onto a council estate where alot of the children who live here, like to destroy/jump onto the course unannounced. I have had neds approach me asking for money and i have had kids hit balls deliberetly at me and my mates. Therefore don't play unless your life depends on it.

As a beginner who lives 5 minutes away from Littlehill and played there on my first round and in my opinion it provides a challenge for established golfers as well as giving rookies such as myself invaluable experience. If you catch it on a good day you are guaranteed a fantastic round of golf.

Although a public course, this is one of the most demanding in the Glasgow area (and there are a few ), would recommend for all levels of golfers but will test even those with low handicaps. Thoroughly recommended.
