|Course Name: Llandudno Holes: 18 Yardage: 6247 SSS: 71|
|True links course situated on the Penforfa Beach now commonly known as the West Shore, and overlooking Conway Bay . The course is of Championship standard, hosting the Welsh Team Championship in 1995.
The vista is an ever-changing one, particularly when surveyed from the 9th tee homewards. Commencing with the Little Orme and moving anti-clockwise to the Great Orme, with Llandudno town nestling between them on very low lying ground. The North Shore has a 'front' which looks across the open sea. Still moving to the left, we see the West Shore facing Anglesey and the bird sanctuary island of Puffin. Continuing left the mountains of Eryri - Snowdonia, with the peak of Snowdon itself some 20 miles away. The seasons are reflected by the colour of the hills, the summer purple heather and the white snow caps of the winter months. The lush valley of the Conway is seen before the estuary. Finally the course terminates at West Baywith the pleasant village of Deganwy. Dominating the view is the Vardre where many a battle was fought before and during the erection of Conwy Castle in the 12th Century.
