A very tidy if somewhat tiring course. Long walks between holes over wandering hills, with poorly marked dirctions. Biggest bunkers I've ever seen, more sand than grass on some holes so take a spare sand iron! Very welcoming, clean clubhouse with good changing facilities. Friendly hospitable staff. Nice practice area and wonderful setting. Very tricky course off all tees, greens in fair nick, true and fast for time of year. A pleasant days golf if your fit.

The course is long when played from the whites and driving strength is key. Course is well designed, the oversized bunkers and established trees in the fairways the main features. The greens were very firm, though held well. They were a bit patchy and bubbly, but it was mid May. I got the impression that the course seemed to be caught in a money trap, where the design had set it as a Championship standard, but the upkeep and presentation seemed not to be in the same quality. All in all though, a good test with great views of the Kent countryside. The practice facilities are excellent. I'd suggest a 6/10 rating

Having had an awful lot of rain the day before the course had drained very well, with the greens in excellent condition, rolling well and holding every well hit shot. The walks between green to tee are long; you would not want to walk 36 holes. With trees placed in some awkward positions accuracy is key. The welcome at the course was very good and the practice facilities excellent with a large chipping/practice green and a grass driving range. Well worth a visit for golfers of all standards.

The course is still young with many new plantations and may get better in future years. For the moment, it is a typical new style course with oversize bunkers and long walks from greens to tees (particularly 9th to 10th). A couple of holes have strangely placed trees in the middle of the fairway and the 10th has two fairways around a small cluster of trees featuring a sort of old bathhouse (now roofless). It is also odd that buggies are only allowed on the front 9. A rating in my opinion of 5 out of 10.
