I was a member at Morriston Golf Club for my junior years, my name is Russell Jones some of the older members may remember me. The course itself is quite short at less than 6000 yrd however it is not a wide driving arena so distance with inaccuracy combined is not a premium.
The best time to visit the course is outside of wet periods in the winter where temporary greens and wet conditions prevail. The best suggestion is to arrive week days after 9 and before 11 where it will be fairly quiet and you will be able to enjoy your own pace, veterans day used to be on Wednesday mornings with ladies day on Tuesdays (best check before hand for verification).
This course if visiting the Swansea area is a good test of golf in clam or windy conditions; the club is a members club and instils a welcoming atmosphere. I achieved a handicap of 2 whilst playing at Morriston and despite there not being a strong junior programme this club has fond memories for both its atmosphere and course challenges- if u play off less than 5 you will do well to break your handicap on first visit.

Although it is a short course the par 4's can be very tricky with tight driving holes and tight approach shots the holes can be very tricky.
The bunkers on the course are very poor, they are filled with too much sand and even if your ball rolls into the bunker it is sure to be plugged. The hardest hole on the course is 450 yards and is a par 4 the only complaint to this is it is a very hard hole, also the card wreaking hole is the 17 this little baby is very difficult on the tee shot, the second shot and if your on the green u have the hardest putt in the world and if your are shot then GOOD LUCK getting up and down, ohhh I forgot there is a ditch that runs across the fairway, got to watch out for that.

My name is Bob Jones and am a member of Morriston Golf Club. I think that the course is a very demanding short course with 6 par 3's to tackle which can be difficult on windy days. There are only to par 5's.The first PAR 5 is very short and can be reached in two quite easy, the second par 5 is a much more demanding par 5 which requires two big hits to leave a short iron into the green. All of the par 4's are very short apart from one of 450 yds. This course is a brilliant course through the summer months where it is in excellent condition. I am member my self and play off a handicap of 7.

My name is Thomas and am a member of Morriston Golf Club. My handicap is 11. I think that the course is pretty good except for in the winter when it can get very boggy and wet in places. Apart from that it is an excellent course in summer is the best time to play, because the greens are fast and the fairways are hard there are good facilities there such as snooker table dart board for the juniors.
