What my fellow South African friend forgot to mention is a particular par 3 hole at mountain lakes offers anyone gullable enough a chance at a hole in one, thanks to the sense of humour of the afore mentioned Welshman. Pity they don't accept the 2 for 1 vouchers, even though their name is on the list of courses that do. We play there as none members almost every week and have to pay full visitors prices everytime. they even know me by my abbreviated surname, Mr. Van as I don't want to make them write Van Schalkwyk every week. Lovely course though. It has the abililty of getting the better of many a man.

Moutain lakes is a challenging 18 hole course with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and plenty of mature trees (spent a fair bit of time around them). You speak to any local golfer and you get the same response " if you can play the lakes, you can play any course). A great challenge for which my fellow South African friend and a Welshman continue to try and conquer almost every week of the year.
