Played in an open competition April 2004. Very good course at very reasonable prices. Very friendly club house would definatley play here again.

I played in Mountrath Golf Club this year in the openweek 2004. The course plays like a championship course , and the greens were like putting on a pool table. Four star course.

I have played Mountrath Golf Course many times and each time I find it a challenge. The hills and trees make you play tactical and select shots. Some of the par 5's are long and not reachable in 2. The par 4's present a different challenge each time. The par 3's then, cross a wide range of skills, some requiring short accurate placements, while others require long irons. There are always hazards to trap you. It's a course that will challenge the best of you. It is kept in the best condition and for the price, any one who plays it know they are getting a bargain. Highly recommended.

Mountrath I have played numerous occasions and find it to a most enjoyable and challenging place. The Course is set in naturally undulating parkland, which is being made more challenging every year with the addition of many new trees over the course. Well worth a visit...
