Visiting area in late March, we lucked out and had blue sky and 60F temperature. This is definitely 'pastureland' - as you have to move the occasional New Forest pony to play a shot. Course was very wet, we had to play off of mats still, but I expect in Summer this is a nice little course for locals. Not very difficult or fancy, but was an enjoyable Saturday afternoon with 3 local fellows who were quite nice. The gentleman running the clubhouse was quite nice also. Good low-cost beginner course. E-mail me if you want more info.

To be perfectly honest, I have only played this course once when on holiday. The course as you would imagine is set in beautiful open countryside and the first thing that you will notice is the cows and horses roaming around on the course. So a little care and appreciation for the animals is a must. But on saying that the course is in immaculate condition and the rivers running through the course make it just that little bit more special. The course is quite flat although towards the end of the round the course does tend to get a bit hilly. The pro-shop is well maintained and well stocked and is reasonably priced.
