It was 12 years ago when I was first introduced to this wonderful golf course by one of its members, Mr. Paddy Nolan. At the time course was fairly new, but as the years had gone by, the course had gone through quite a maturing process.
True that it might not be the most challenging of lay-out, but the design is very thoughtful. Short par four's can be trickey, long ones are almost always into the wind, par fives are not gimmies, and par three's will give you with challenges with club selections as there are some elevation changes. I am an honest 3 handicap, and at a first glance it is a course that I felt I can tear up, but I never have, even under the best of conditions.
One might not travel thousand of miles to play this course, but for me it holds a special place in my heart because of the friendship with Mr. Nolan.

On playing on this immaculately maintained course I found it to be a fair challenge. If its this well presented in the winter I look forward to playing it in the summer in all its glory as it created a lasting impression on myself and my society friends. Well done!

I thought that Old Conna golf club was a major let down due to the lack of maturity in the greens and the new club house, looks like a garden shed. I have a handicap of 19 and I had a round of 74 due to the amateur course.

If you shot 74 off 19 then either of 2 things happened :
        1. your cheating scum playing off the wrong handicap
        or
        2. you played it off the ladies tee.
Either way man up, and admit your real score.

I am a junior 17(16.8) Handicapper who lives near the club. I would just like to say what an enjoyable, tricky and challenging 18 hole par 72 parkland golf course it is (a long hitters haven).
