I have been a member of Omagh golf course for 8 years now and i have yet to be disappointed by the course. In the past number of years the course has taken a great change for the better and is improving and becoming more difficult each time i go out. I would recommend it to anyone from the surrounding golf clubs around Omagh and further afield to play on it and you wont be disappointed.

This is a great course only beginning to blossom. Now in 2007 course condition is a sharp contrast to when i joined in 1997, off a two handicap iv played a lot of great courses and there aren't many that offer a better challenge than Omagh. Its a mixture of good holes with the front and back nines different in style but in common with good character.

I agree. I played on a Sunday and the pro shop was closed and I was unable to purchase a logo (crested) ball. I'm trying to find an e mail address for either the pro shop or the secretary, can you help me?
Thank you
Bill

The Omagh course has been a long time in maturing, but over the last five or so years a new greenkeeper has facilitated its true potential. Often criticised for being too easy the course has been transformed by the inclusion of the notorious 5th 'Devil's Elbow' and a newly constructed 8th hole. The Drumragh River which comes intoplay at the 6th,7th,8th and 9th is always a talking point after 18 holesand has been the bete noire of many a player who has visited and indeed those who are there every morning! With the greens in superb condition over the summer the course has been the jewel inTyrone's golfing map.
With the course in excellent condition 18 hole is a must for any golf lover passing through.

I enjoyed playing this course. The top nine is pretty hilly, but very pretty, with some good long holes and excellent greens. The bottom nine is across the road, and has a river running alongside it. It's a lot flatter, and has a couple of long par 4s and some short par 3s, which are quite tricky to score on.
The bar on the site was excellent, with a great friendly atmosphere, and some very acceptable pub grub. All in all, I would recommend this course to anyone in the locality.
