This is going to be my first full year as i only joined half way through last year. I think this golf course is a challenging golf course and can involvle a lot of short game to get onto some difficult greens. I prefer the back nine as they have some great views looking out to sea. But the back nine are the most trickiest out of the course with a blind green on number 13 over sand dunes. I really enjoy playing here and intend to stay aslong as possible.

I have just played Porthmadog Golf Club for the eighth year in a row as part of our annual Golf Trip to Wales, and the weekend would not be the same without it.
Friendly front nine eases you gently into your game ready for tougher things to come.
The back nine is simply wonderful, with every hole giving a different sort of challenge. The highlights must be the Par 3 13th (blind tee shot over large sand dunes) and the aptly named 14th, the Himalayas.
Not expensive and worth every single penny, we will be back without a doubt for the Ninth time next year.

Played in a Texas scramble and was glad for that...spent plenty of time looking for balls, still! James Braid lulls you to sleep with the outward 9 only to terrify you with the inward half. Many will not have enough club to reach the par 3 11th...and it just gets better from there...a most interesting test of golf and lovely bay views on the back 9. The wind gets it's due...

James Braid weas involved in the first 9 holes only, which were anyway quite different to today's lay out. He had no hand and therefore can take no credit (or blame as the case may be)for the front 9.
