Course Details

Course Name: Rathsallagh Holes: 18 Yardage: 6920 SSS: 72
The 10th at Rathsallagh is considered to be its signature hole. It demands a very good drive and you need to get as close as you can to the water, this leaves you with a long iron or even a wood for your next shot. For your second shot you have water on your right, and a tree lined ditch on the left all the way to the green. The 10th green is multi level and contoured and is considered to be one of our more difficult greens. A par here is very good score, and for the middle to high handicaps a bogey is a good achievement. This hole has a bit of a reputation for ruining many a good card.

I have played Rathsallagh golf course four times and have found the course to be one of the finest examples of parkland golf courses in Ireland. Each hole offers a unique design with a well thought out risk-reward strategy. In particular holes 6, 7 and 8 provide a fantastic challenge to both the experienced and amateur golfer alike. I have a handicap of 4 and look forward to my next visit to this wonderful course.

My Name is Declan Flood and I have played this course every time I have gone to Ireland. It has to have the best greens in Europe for such a young course. The co-owner Joe Flynn is a very nice man and a pleasue to deal with. The course is very natural and kept to the highest standards I have seen for a country club in years. I would recommend this cours to anyone. My handicap is 12
