Course Details

Course Name: Ring of Kerry Holes: 18 Yardage: SSS:
The architectural brief was to design a 'world class' golf course that is sufficiently flexible to challenge competent and experienced players from the back teeing areas, yet be capable of being played and enjoyed by the average handicap player from middle and forward teeing areas. The brief also included that the golf course be to a standard capable of hosting smaller professional golf events, both Irish and European. Sand and water come into play on several holes.

This mountain course is absolutely beautiful. I played it in May 2002.
Play it on a weekend, because you'll never get on Old Ballybunion or Tralee on Saturday or Sunday. This maybe the right course for you before or after Waterville. It's just off the Ring of Kerry road.
If your legs are gassed from links courses, you might want to rent a cart.

This is a fantastic venue. The welcome, the wonderful golf course, magical views, Kenmare village and value for money is a must see in the South West of Ireland. They also have carts which is not all that easy to find in Ireland.
