Being a member of Rossmore Golf Club for the last year now and it is by far one of the most demanding courses in the country. I have played all over Ireland and with a handicap of 6 I feel it has given me the most challenging games of my life. I would recommend a trip to Rossmore for all types of players. The fairways and greens are immaculate. The par 3 2nd hole is probably my favorite as you are hitting over water and with woodlands to your left you feel nothing but jubilent if landing anywhere near the green. A must for starters and professionals alike!

Don't know what course you played on Henry. But this course although good, is not always in top class condition especially in late september to early may.
it needs to be improved to be in any way considered a great course.
they should also pay attention to their clubhouse. which is like something out of the 70's. dated and not as clean as it should be.

It is a pity that John has his opinions of Rossmore. I have been a member there for the last 15 years. I have seen the improvements made, drainage, extending to 18 holes, greens and much more. I dont know what John is used to but we all appreciate our course. As for his comments concerning the course not being it's best from September to May I could not agree and invite any visitor to come and see for themselves. It is probably the only course in the region playable 12 months of the year. This summer just gone most courses closed during the very wet weather but not Rossmore. Come and see for yourselves.
