This is my home club so I play it a lot!! I have been known at the beginning of the season to play it 4 or 5 times a week. The best points are...
1: World Class Views. (Especially from the 8th, 9th & 10th tees.)
2: Very challenging with a lot of, out of bounds up the right side.
3: Some great holes. (Especially the 4th, 8th 10th & 15th)
4: No ridiculously long holes.
5: A lot of variety.
6: Very cheap for a well established, James Braid designed course.
The Bad points are....
1: Greens like carpets sometimes.
2: Prone to soggy fairways in the bad weather.
3: Maybe a bit too hilly for some.
4: Not many bunkers. A few strategically placed ones would help.
5: It is Municipal so a fair amount of divot holes etc in the summer.
Everyone I've ever played with for the first time on this course can't believe it isn't private due I think to its' location and the sheer stunning beauty of the views of the Firth of Clyde for which it's worth playing once.

What a wonderful club! The course is challenging even with all the par 3's but the views of the Clyde are spectacular. Don't go if you aren't able to climb to the top of the front 9!!! The greens are a little shaggy but they putt true if you hit the ball. The management is friendly and the fees are a bargain!! Best kept secret in Strathclyde. Go and enjoy!!!
