All the previous reviews are quite old.
This is a tremendous course with wonderful views. A huge amount is being spent to make it even better. Well worth a visit

The above link takes you to a very useful route planner. If you have the post code (ZIP code in US) for anywhere to anywhere then this will give you the right roads to take. You can put place names too but be careful, there are many places in England with the same name but 300 miles apart.
    Hope you enjoy your visit

    TWIMC:
We plan to visit Cromer in early September of this year. Can anyone give me information on the best way to travel from London to Cromer. After a week in Cromer we plan to go to paris for a week. As you can tell, we need help on the best way to get around in Europe.
    Thanks,
    Tom

I played the wonderful Royal Cromer Golf Club EVERY weekend from 1958 until 1962 whilst in the US Forces at RAF Sculthorpe. I most certainly hope to play this wonderful track some day again whenever I visit the UK.
Thanks Royal Cromer for some wonderful times during my youth.

I have played Royal Cromer three times this year and have fell in love with the place. A testing course if you miss the fairways with some interesting holes. The 14th (lighthouse hole) is often referred as a difficult par 4 but I found the 15th a real test. Teeing off from an elevated tee you have to clear lots of gorse and rough. Any shop to the right will find another bank off heavy rough. The second shot is a difficult(often against the wind) uphill shot which needs a bit of fade. The course has some wonderful views and the greens are super. I am considering membership even though I live 22 miles away!
