Skibbereern and West Carbery Golf Club celebrated its 60th anniversary at its present address in 1995. It moved from its previous address at Castlelands on the Castletownshed road in 1935. It has always been seen as the friendliest club in West Cork, located within easy reach to all holiday villages in the area is a great advantage.

The course has seen many renovations since the club moves in 1935. The extention to the 18 hole course was carried out in 1992.
