St Bees School Golf Course started in 1928. During this time it has changed site and complexity. It is now situated on St Bees Beach - the start of the coast to coast walk overlooking the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. The clubhouse is open seven days a week during April to September. St Bess School (1583) and St Bees Golf Club have put a tremendous amount of work into the course to enhance its unique setting. A pro shop is proposed for 1999.

Directions
North along the M6 to Junction 40. Follow the A66 to Whitehaven / Cockermouth. Turn left onto the A595, follow signs to Whitehaven. St Bees is signposted , turn right . About 6.4km (4 miles) off the A595.
