St Deiniol Golf Club is the hidden gem of North Wales. A true test of straight hitting, I have found it the most rewarding course to play and have visited many times over the past 10 years.
The first 6 holes over-look Snowdonia with spectacular views down to Llandudno and are quite open. Crossing over to the 'other side' for the par 3 7th, the golfer becomes aware of the gorse, particularly on the par-4 9th where I imagine several competitions have been won and lost.
The view from the 12th tee over looking Anglesey is breath taking on a fine day and it appears that you are launching your ball into oblivion as you descend down to the protected green.
Club house staff are always friendly and welcoming and the course is now listed in 2-fore-1. Well worth a visit if you fancy a challenge, but take some chocolate and spare balls!
