The courses are all fantastic and agree with most other comments but try to book a tee time it can take for ever for someone to answer a phone. THis really needs loing at. Very frustrating

Our round on the Derby course was great. On the Monday we faced the Brabazon. An amazing course that tests even the most experienced and low handicap golfers. The downside of this round was one of the Marshalls who was surly, rude and a real jobsworth. We were half hole away from the group in front and not being held up and the group behind were the same - us not holding them up. However, this man chivvied us along telling us to speed up and not wait for others but 'just play'. This rather spoiled our last 6 holes as this man shadowed us, talking on his radio even as we were trying to tee off - most rude.

Best to go in the summer fairways a bit sticky in the rainy season

What time of the year did you play? How far in advance did you need to make a tee time?
Thanks,
Jason

As a local boy and a big Aston Villa supporter, I recently had the honour of hosting a corporate day at The Belfry. My self and some colleges, played the PGA at the Aston Villa golf day 2002. Great course, shame the Villa players didn't take it so seriously. Only Peter Enkleman braved the course. Nice place! Great Pro with excellent tips and video embarrassment after the event.
Would recommend this as a corporate day to anyone. Villa day excepted!!!!!

Played the Brabazon course 7 times in September 1993 during the Ford Home International's. The course is just fanastic especially the 10 and 18 hole's.

It is hard to write a dispassionate review of a course that is so steeped in tradition and that I have only played on one occasion. Having viewed it many times on television, it has a truly exhilarating atmosphere when seen in the flesh.
The clubhouse, hotel, pro-shop and corporate facilities are truly excellent and intoxicate you long before you step out to the first tee. The memorabilia and artists sketches which adorn the walls of the hotel are well worth viewing in their own right. Despite its realtive youth, the Brabazon course already occupies a special place in British Golf tradition by virtue of its Ryder Cup pedigree.
I particularly enjoyed the legendary 10th hole where I was able to mark a 4 on my card. The 12th, 17th and 18th are also testing and spectacular and all the greens are true and even paced as one would expect. However, a number of holes are surprisingly unimaginative and forgiving of the average golfer. If you can afford the green fee, I commend the Belfry to you and everyone should aim to play the course on at least one occasion if only to impress ones friends and partake in a unique experience.
I defy anyone whose ball isn't in the lake to stroll down the 18th fairway without experiencing a sense of pride in recollecting the first modern day victory 'our boys' achieved against the USA.
