My wife and I were driving to Mallaig from Fort William. For 12 Pounds I played 9 holes and it was a very nice experience. Not to much wind and at the last 3 holes Some rain. But it was very pleasant. I scored 42 (handicap 15.4) so I played rather well and enjoyed the views of the sea and the surroundings. To every one who is in the neigbourhood............play this course and enjoy everything.

I have played this course on a number of occasions during the summer. The views from the summit at the 8th and 9th hole can only be described as breathtaking.

This course should be played in the height of the summer as the sun sets into the sea between the islands of Eigg, Rumm and Skye.Golfers should ensure that the have a camera with them in their bag to capture the moment.

This course can be played until Midnight in June and is truely one of the hidden gems not only in Scotland but the WORLD.

Anyway, I golfed at Traigh a number of times, the first time was in 1986 while living in Edinburgh getting an MBA. The best part was having to pitch shots over the wooden fences surrounding the greens. Even though that proved a challenge it was worth not having to putt around the calling cards left behind by big Scottish cows.

The next time at Traigh, the cows were history but the course still maintained its unbelievable charm and grace only found on the West Coast. The vistas are breathtaking and the price is right. As I remember, the honesty box said pay only after a satisfying round. I paid double.
