Played this course in June 2002 and the course was in a fantastic shape. The greens were slowish but true- all around a very enjoyable experience!

Walton Heath is without doubt one of the finest inland courses, and a truly great golf challenge. The infamous rough is mainly heather and requires great skill to get out. The fairways are superb and so soft and springy and I don't know whether it just the magical atmosphere of this course that is steeped in so much history, but one seems to float along the fairways.
The greens are among the best in this country and the scenery gives this course a links feel about it.
The clubhouse will also take you back in time as it is almost a shrine to that legendary five times Open winner and club professional Jimmy Braid. Wherever you play in the world, your golfing experiences will not be complete without a game at Walton Heath. Spoil yourself and pay a visit, it truly is unforgettable!
