Course Details

Course Name: Waterford Holes: 18 Yardage: 6260 SSS: 70
Attractive parkland course designed by the great James Braid who was Open Champion on five occassions. Waterford is particulary renowed for the quality of its greens and for its friendly atmosphere. The first nine demands accuracy from the tee. The back nine is more forgiving and features a great closing stretch with a classic finishing hole. Here the drive is stuck from an elevated tee, with 360 degree view, to a narrow fairway which winds its way downhill, between score threatening gorse, to a receptive green 400 yards away.

This course is the best inland course in ireland. It requires great course management and requires a person who can play very straight shots and who has a fine touch around the greens. It also has the best greens in Ireland.
