I have only played the whinhill on a handful of occassions but when i do play it is a pleasure, the 1st is a tough hole especially when the wind is not blowing !!
i would just like to give a big shout out to my whinny hood rats and also raf the columbian drug lord.

I have been playing at the Whinhill golf course for several years now, it is an amazing course and the 4th hole rivals any golf hole in the world, including that of the 17th at sawgrass. Simply magnificent !!

Not an easy course, despite the short yardage. Because of the location, the wind blows strongly most days and a few of the par 4's can be unreachable in two shots. Hole 15 is a nightmare to judge properly and 18 is one of the toughest finishing holes I have played

What value at only £7 per round.
Visitors to the area should certainly take in Whinhill, an absolute delight offering panoramic views across the Clyde and up into the Campsies.
Testing par 68 while being a very short course it is indeed a true test of golf. Having returned to the area after sometime I was fortunate enough to play 18 with my old friend and current club champion Alan Hendry (2). Visitors made welcome at all times.
