Vilamoura Victoria Course
Victoria Course - 8125-507 Vilamoura
289 320 500

The previous owners invested 18 million euros in Oceanico's Victoria Golf Club, designed by Arnold Palmer, one of the greatest legends of the sport. This was the most ambitious golf project in Portugal, and was aimed at being one of the best golf complexes in the whole of Europe.
Oceanico's Victoria Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 championship layout, measuring 6.560 meters (7,105 yards) from the back tees. Several man-made lakes provide hazards for the players and also serve as water reservoirs for irrigation.

My wife and played in September 2011 mid morning tee off.
It is a very nice and well kept course, challenging with lakes etc.
However, it was spoiled by we having to play with a brother and sister, who kept having to find their lost balls in the rough!
We were told at the beginning that there were 150 players following (?) us that day. Also, were asked to play faster at 2 stages, since our target times had been exceeded. Under the above circumstances, my wife, unfortunately did not enjoy this round at all.

a must play course in the algarve. the front 9 is good, the back 9 simply awsome. the greens in january were unbelivable, so fast and so smooth yet still receptive. cant wait to play it again next year. free practice balls are a nice touch (shame only available on day of playing) expensive? ...yes worth it?...... every single euro!

We are 3 PGA pros and 5 amateurs looking to play your course between 23-28/01/06. Do you offer courtesy to pros and what price would it be for the amateurs?

From white tees, this is indeed a very difficult golf course. some holes the drive must be 250 meters to reach the fairway. the par3 are all 160/170 meters at least and almost all holes have strategic bunkers and water in place. A must play in the algarve - the club house is magnificant, too. the only prob: it is not so cheap ;-)
