The Carrick at Cameron House - Loch Lomond, Scotland
The Carrick course at the Cameron House in Loch Lomond is one of Scotland's most anticipated new golf courses. It's the centerpiece of a massive development, including a large clubhouse featuring a spa and restaurants, as well as luxurious condominiums and lodges overlooking the loch.
The golf course features a good deal amount of elevation changes and stunning views of Loch Lomond and the Ben Lomond mountain. It's a resort-style course with forgiving fairways and playability, but is also hoping to host a variety of national and international tournaments, and has put in a bid to host the Solheim Cup in the future.
Originally slated to open in the fall of 2006, the official opening date has been pushed back to the spring of 2007. The Cameron House currently has a nine hole Wee Demon course that is a par 32.
